Principal Message

It has been a hectic start to Term 2 for our P&C. They held a wonderful sausage sizzle at the elections last Saturday, and they have organised the Mother's Day breakfast and stall, which takes a lot of time and effort. It is so special to see our students and their 'mums' enjoying breakfast together and taking lots of photos. Thank you to all the committee members and volunteers who have helped make these events such a success. If you have not been able to volunteer at an event, please consider a small amount of your time at one of their next fundraisers. Thank you for all you do for us at JPPS! Thanks must also go to Bronwyn in the canteen and Classroom Catering for the food and to NWCC (OOSH) for the lovely chocolate gifts for our mums. We truly appreciate your support.

Last Friday, some of our talented dance students attended Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School to audition for the Greater Western Sydney Dance Ensemble. Congratulations to Indi and Annelise on their successful auditions—we are incredibly proud of your talent and dedication.

At our school, the health and well-being of our students and staff are a top priority. We encourage everyone to be mindful of their health and the health of others. If your child is feeling unwell or exhibiting any symptoms of illness, please keep them home to recover and avoid spreading any potential infections. By taking this precaution, we can help ensure a safer and healthier environment for everyone in our school community. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Respectful communication between the school and the community is vital for creating a collaborative and supportive educational environment. Our amazing admin staff are usually the first point of contact between our community and teaching staff, or if there is an accident on the playground. They exemplify a caring and supportive nature, treating every student as if they were their own, dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment where all students and parents feel valued and understood. Please remember to be respectful to all our staff members at JPPS.

There is a new crossing on Jetty Street and new No Stopping signage around it. Please park legally in our surrounding streets to keep our students safe.

Best of luck to all our competitors at the Ridges Cross Country Carnival tomorrow. I can't wait to share their results next week, as we have some very talented distance runners.

As we celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday, I would like to take a moment to honour and appreciate all those who fulfil a motherly role in our lives. Whether you are a mother, grandmother, stepmother, or a nurturing figure, your love, guidance, and support make a profound difference in our community. Wishing you a day filled with love, joy, and the recognition you truly deserve.

Happy Mother's Day!

Lisa Crawford
