Kindergarten Orientation
The first of our Kindergarten Orientation sessions was held on Tuesday 24 October. The event was marked by some very excited Kindergarten students for 2024 and some very proud parents. Our future students participated in a range of literacy activities in the Kindy classrooms. It was a successful morning and we are looking forward to session 2 next Tuesday 31st October!
World Teachers’ Day
Thank you to our wonderful P&C for providing a delicious lunch to celebrate World Teachers’ Day. Our teachers were very thankful and thoroughly enjoyed the Vietnamese cuisine.
Horsney Street Gate- no access Tuesday 31 October
There will be no access via the Hornsey Street gate On Tuesday 31 October due to tree works. To ensure safety, the gate will be locked. Please be mindful of the trucks and machinery on Hornsey Street. Alternative gate entrances are via Stanley Street, Conder Street and Parade.
Tell Them From Me Parent Survey - 2023
Our school will be participating in the Tell Them From Me suite of surveys (student, teacher and parent surveys). The survey asks parents and carers questions about different factors that are known to impact on student wellbeing and engagement.
Running this survey will help our school understand parents’ and carers’ perspectives on their child’s experience at school. These include: communication between parents/carers and staff, activities and practices at home and parent/carer views on the school's support of learning and behaviour. This valuable feedback will help our school make practical improvements.
The survey is conducted entirely online on smartphones, iPads, tablets, laptops or computers. The survey will typically take 15 minutes or less to complete and is completely confidential. Although participating in the survey is entirely voluntary, your responses are very much appreciated.
To access the survey for our school go to:
http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/vmsph
The survey is available in 22 languages.

Book Fair
The Book Fair was held in the library this week and it was a huge success! Our goal was to reach $6000 in sales and we achieved this by Wednesday afternoon! Thank you to all the parents and carers who came with their children to browse the wonderful books and make purchases. Every item sold helps to raise money for our library to buy more quality books for the collection.
Thank you for supporting the Book Fair and our school library!
