**The Tell Them from Me Parental Survey**

This term, our school will be participating in the Partners in Learning parental survey, another part of the Tell Them from Me group of surveys (student, teacher and parental surveys) about student engagement. The survey asks parents and carers questions about different factors that are known to have an impact on student well-being and engagement.

Participating in this survey will help our staff to understand parents’ and carers’ perspectives on their children’s experience at school. These experiences include communication between parents/carers and staff, activities and practices at home, and parental/carer views on the school's expectations for students’ learning and behaviour. This valuable feedback will help our school to make practical improvements.

The survey is conducted entirely online on smartphones, iPads, tablets, laptops or computers. The survey will typically take 15 minutes or less to complete and is completely confidential. Your responses are very much appreciated.

Pizza Day

Thank you to our parental volunteers for organising Pizza Day, which will take place tomorrow.

School Disco

Save the date - our school disco will take place next term, Friday 8th November, in the school hall. Thank you in advance to all parents who are assisting in organising the event. Detailed information will come when we enter Term 4.

Grandparents’ Day Assembly

We have locked in a date for our Grandparents’ Day Assembly. This will take place Monday 28^th October at approximately 9:15/9:30 am in the school hall. Detailed information will come out early next term.

Community of Schools Public Speaking Showcase

Congratulations to Leah S and Finn B, both of whom represented Russell Vale Public School at the Community of Schools Public Speaking Showcase last week at Woonona East Public School. Thursday this week, Andi K and James M will be presenting their speeches at Woonona Public School and Friday we will be hosting speakers from Woonona East and Woonona Public Schools along with Hayes E from Kindergarten. Our Stage 3 speakers will have the opportunity to present their speeches next term at Woonona High School on a date which is yet to be confirmed.

Aussie of the Month

Congratulations to Ashton M who is our Aussie of the Month for his outstanding active citizenship in our school community.

School Holidays

I hope everyone has a very relaxing, yet enjoyable break. There is NOT a School Development Day on the first day back, meaning that students will return Monday 14^th October.
