What a bitterly cold week to come back from leave. It is lovely being back with our students.

Last night, I had a fantastic time at the Synergy Dance Festival in Penrith. What amazing performances from our 4 dance groups. They all lit up the stage and danced their little hearts out. They have another matinee performance today. There are going to be some very tired people over the weekend. A huge thanks must go to Mrs Montgomery, Miss Ross, Miss Perkins and Miss Beggs for choreographing and organising the performance and giving up their time last night. Big thanks also to Miss Doheny and Miss Fenton for assisting with organisation and supervision on the night. A great team effort. Thank you for giving our students this opportunity.

Best of luck to all our JPPS students competing at the Sydney West Cross Country Carnival next Thursday. I know you will all do your very best and support each other.

The council are still completing roadworks on Jetty Street. Please be mindful that the road may still be closed this afternoon.

I returned from leave to some very sad news. One of our long-standing parents at our school lost her battle with illness last weekend. Our thoughts are with her family at this very sad time. Please take some extra time this weekend with your loved ones and cherish the moments you have them.

Congratulations to Ryan in Year 6 who was the captain of the Sydney West AFL team. He was selected for the Best and Fairest award.

ATHLETICS

We had a great day for our athletics carnival on Tuesday! Students showcased their talent, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm, making it a wonderful day for everyone involved. A special thank you to our dedicated staff, volunteers, and families who helped organise and support the carnival. Congratulations to all our athletes who will represent JPPS at the Ridges Zone Carnival next term. Permission notes will be emailed out in the near future.
