Principal Message

What a very miserable week in terms of our weather. I hope you have all managed to stay dry. Our students have stayed fairly settled and positive, being inside for a lot more time than usual. Our thoughts are with all the community members who are suffering in the current flood conditions.

National Sorry Day on 26 May marks the day that the landmark ‘Bringing them Home’ report was tabled in federal Parliament in 1997.

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) 2025, taking place from 27 May to 3 June, invites all Australians to reflect, learn and engage in meaningful action towards reconciliation. This year’s theme, Bridging Now to Next, calls on us to honour the past, stay committed to the present, and walk together toward a more united future. Next week, students will participate in various activities. We will be looking at Dreaming story- Cunning Crow, where each student will decorate a feather to incorporate into a wingspan artwork. Cunning Crow teaches us that we should love ourselves and accept each other's differences. I can't wait to see the finished piece.

Last Friday, I popped into the after-school chess tournament in our Library. It was a hive of activity with students from 3 other schools competing. There was lots of enthusiasm and competitiveness. Thank you to Mr Clifford for all the organisation of the team and Miss Aguas for supervising after school.

I hope you all have a great weekend, and we get some sunshine.

Sports News

Some of our Stage 3 students competed in the Norwest Basketball Challenge on Wednesday. It was a fun day, and our players had a great time learning new skills and working together. I'm sure it was nice to be outside of the school, being active, instead of stuck in the classroom for wet weather. Thank you to Mrs Watson and Mr Pleffer for providing this opportunity for our students.

Yellow Line = No Stopping

A yellow edge line indicates no stopping. This means that vehicles cannot park or stop on that section of the road.

The penalty for stopping on a yellow line is $302. Fines may be higher if the violation occurs within a school zone or if the vehicle is blocking access to or from a footpath or driveway.

Please follow the road rules to keep our students safe around our school.
