Principal Message

Welcome back to Term 2! I hope you and your family had a wonderful break and are feeling refreshed. We have an exciting term ahead with many activities planned for our students. Fingers crossed, we have wonderful weather to support our outdoor activities and events. I encourage you to support your child’s learning and get involved in school events where you possibly can. Together, we can make this term a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone.

On behalf of the entire school community, I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the P&C for your incredible efforts in organising the paving fundraiser and the end of last year. Your dedication and hard work have resulted in a beautiful new paved area under the flagpole that enhances our school's environment and provides a welcoming space for students, staff, and visitors. Our students have loved finding their names and those of their friends at recess and lunch. This new area will not only serve as a functional space but will also be a gathering spot for many school events in the future. If you are voting on the weekend, please have a look at this beautiful new area and support the P&C by purchasing a ‘Democracy Sausage’.

Our Colour Run at the end of last term was a huge success! As a school community, we have raised an amazing $62,381.20! Don't forget that if your child raised any money during the fundraiser, they can redeem their prizes on the website funrun.com.au. Prizes close on Monday, 5th May. A big thank you to everyone in the community who fundraised, attended our Colour Run and helped to make this a fantastic event. The money raised will be put towards shaded furniture for our playground and to contribute to the Year 6 farewell.

We are all very much looking forward to our P&C Mother’s Day Breakfast next Thursday. I hope lots of our ‘mums’ or those in a mum role, can come along next Thursday. We also have Ridges Cross Country on Friday. Best of luck to all our competitors!

Have a great weekend

Lisa Crawford

Attendance

We hope your children enjoyed the school holidays. It is great seeing them reconnect with friends on the first day of term.

Please remember to be at school before the 8:55 am bell. It is important that students start school on time with the rest of their peers.

If your child is absent from school, please let us know why as soon as possible, even if it’s just a few minutes at the start or end of the school day. Of course, there will be times when your child is unable to be at school, like when they are unwell. Medical appointments should take place outside school hours where possible, and family holidays should be taken during term breaks. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure students access the endless benefits of regular school attendance.
