Celebrating our talented students

Bayside Mayoral Awards

On Wednesday, one of our Stage 3 students, Isabelle was presented with a special Bayside Mayoral Award for Student Excellence. This award was presented in recognition of her demonstration of kindness and respect for others while contributing to the school community. Izzy is a fine role model who often gives up her time to support younger students at school. Congratulations Izzy on this well-deserved award!

School Spectacular

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the School Spectacular at Qudos Bank Arena. It is a family tradition, as I take my own children to see the incredible 5000+ public primary and high school students showcasing their talents in music, dance and performing arts. I was particularly proud this year to see one of our own Botany PS students, performing on stage with the Boys Vocal Choir. Congratulations Aidan!

Bayside Photography Competition Winner

Congratulations to Ivy who was the junior winner in Bayside Council's recent photography competition. Her winning photograph, entitled Industrial Giraffes showcased the cranes at the shipping docks. She obviously takes after her dad, Jared, who was also a winner, in the environmental category.

Reports

Student reports will be emailed home on Monday 11 December. Please take a moment to ensure that the school has your up-to-date contact details to ensure your child's reports reach you safely and securely. As in previous semesters, reports are sent home to the primary contact. Families wishing to receive a report for the second parent should contact the school at Botany-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au

Softball 2023

Wrapping up the year, the PSSA Softball team played an amazing season winning every game except one. They had to forfeit a couple of games due to Swim Scheme but they truly played like champions throughout the year. A big thank you to the Year 6 players who have passed on their skills to Year 5 and juniors. To Aidan, Bronte, Elodie, Kasper, Zack, Silas, Matthew and Keaton, your teamwork skills have been fantastic and you will be greatly missed!
The junior T-Ballers have also had a great season winning most of games and developing their position and games skills. As a coach, I really look forward to the Year 4 players trying out for Softball 2024.
