Principal Message
I hope all our 'mums' were celebrated last Sunday and enjoyed their special day.
Our PSSA teams have left for their first game. I hope the rain stays away.
This week is Disability Recognition Week, an important opportunity for us to celebrate, recognise and better understand the experiences of our students and colleagues living with disability. This week also includes Global Accessibility Awareness Day yesterday – a moment to reflect on how we’re making digital spaces more inclusive, and how this aligns with our broader goals for accessible education and workplaces. Our students were read a book titled 'I Talk in a Different Way', explaining how communication can be in various forms and how it often takes a little extra time for some people to be able to communicate successfully.
Last Friday, I had a fantastic day at the Ridges Cross Country Carnival. JPPS was hugely successful at the carnival. 22 students will be making up a considerable portion of the Ridges team who will be participating in the Sydney West Carnival on Thursday, 26th June. Our other competitors, who didn't qualify, still had fantastic results, a few only narrowly missing the next level. Please see the top 8 placing results in the sports news section below.
The P&C are looking at providing the opportunity for more families to purchase a named paver that will be placed around our flagpole. More information will be coming soon.
Below are some reminders for all of our parents and community members:
- Parents are unable to access the school carpark. We do not have enough parking for staff, and it is a huge safety concern.
- JPPS staff are unable to manage the crossing if there is no crossing supervisor.
- PLEASE use a crossing at ALL times.
- Follow the road rules - do not perform 3-point turns near a pedestrian crossing or stop/park in the No Stopping areas. Council rangers will issue fines if necessary.
- Please do not come into the playground in the morning. It is already very congested on the concrete, especially when we are unable to access the grass. This is for the safety of our students and you.
- Please wait in the parent waiting areas in the afternoon, and not on the pathways blocking access for our students or outside the classroom.
Thank you for your understanding.
Have a great weekend.

It was a great effort, with the result coming down to the last game against Penrith (last year's champs). The girls were amazing, winning 9 and drawing 1 of their 10 games, scoring 166 goals and conceding only 53. The teamwork and sportsmanship shown by the team. HUGE congratulations must also go to Kaya for being selected in the Sydney West team to compete in Coffs Harbour later in the year.
