Sydney Water has informed us that demolition machinery across the road has accidentally burst a pipe. To carry out repairs, they plan to shut off water to the entire street at 4:00 PM to minimize disruption to the schools.
According to Steve from Sydney Water, the leak does not pose a safety risk to students leaving this afternoon. While water is running along the gutter, they are using the digger bucket to control the flow.
