Welcome Back to HPS 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to the 2024 school year! We hope everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing school holiday.  

We are delighted to welcome the following staff to Haberfield Public School:

• Ms Kristy Haggett – Relieving Principal
• Ms Paola Candi – Italian (Thursday and Friday – Term 1)
• Ms Judy Simon – Year 5 (1 day per week)

We look forward to them being part of the Haberfield PS team.

We also welcome back Mr Truong, Ms Guo and Ms Zarb who are returning from leave. 

Ms Jacobsen, Mrs Favotto and Mrs Hutchinson will be on leave for Term 1. Mr Reid will be on leave for Terms 1 and 2. Mrs Caruso and Ms Comino and will be on leave for the 2024 school year and Ms Morris will be on Maternity Leave. 

We look forward to welcoming Year 1 – 6 students back to school on Thursday 1^st February.

Kindergarten 2024 students will begin their staggered start times on Wednesday 7th February 2024.  Kindergarten parents will receive this information shortly via email.  

All students will return to their 2023 classes for the start of the 2024 school year in the ‘Back To Haberfield’ program. Once our numbers are confirmed we will then form the 2024 classes. We are anticipating this will hopefully be early next week.  

Students are to assemble in their 2023 class lines in the morning, where they will be greeted by their temporary “Back to Haberfield” teacher. NB. This may not be their 2023 class teacher. 

New students are to come to the school office.

We look forward to seeing our students for another exciting educational year at Haberfield.
