Dear Parents/Carers and Students,

This fun, structured and skills focused Jewellery - Wax Modelling for Casting course introduces students to a variety of wax and metal working techniques, including carving and basic jewellery making skills. 

Under the guidance of a practising artist, students will design and carve a wax ring band, which will then be cast off-site in Sterling Silver, ready to clean up and polish and wear!

The Metal Jewellery course will run for 8 weeks, beginning Wednesday 17 September 2025.

Sessions take place on school grounds every Wednesday from 3:15-4:45 pm. Please note that classes will not run during school holiday periods.

How it works:

• Open to all DHSVAD students.
• Courses will only go ahead if the minimum number of students enrol, with both payment and permission notes submitted.
• Places are limited, and class sizes are capped to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Permission notes are available at the front office or from Ms Watts in the Visual Arts staffroom.
