Dear Parents and Carers, 

Over the next two weeks classes in Years 3-6 will be participating in class spelling bees in readiness for the Stage finals for the Premier's Spelling Bee being held in Week 6 on Tuesday ( Stage 2) and Thursday ( Stage 3).

Words for the spelling bee will be from the Premier's list which can be downloaded from the Arts Unit - NSW Premier's Spelling Bee | The Arts Unit The password for the spelling bee has been provided to students. 

For the class speling bees children will be told the word, it will be used in a sentence then repeated. The students will then spell the word and state the word when satisfied with their spelling. We will not be timing the responses at a class level.

As well as information about the Spelling Bee the Arts Unit also has a number of fabulous workshops available for students in all facets of the Creative Arts. Currently applications are open for Primary Dance Workshops for students in Years 1-6 and a Visual Arts workshop for talented Stage 3 artists, ( see attachment) .
