School staff have noticed that parents and carers have been going straight to classes and school bags during the school day avoiding presenting themself at the school administration office.

During the school day, it is a requirement for all visitors (parents and carers) to sign in at the administration office before going elsewhere onsite during school hours. It assists school and emergency services in an evacuation event as well as child protection measures.

Exception to the required sign on practice is when parents and carers:

-          deliver their child to school before the bell at 8.50am and/or collect their child after the bell at 2.55pm;

-          go directly to the uniform shop only;

-          volunteering in the canteen;

-          are attending a large school event eg assemblies, open days or sporting event;

-          or have another arrangement as approved by the Principal.

Can we also request that parents and carers position themself well away from their child’s classroom before the end of the school day (2.55pm) to avoid the interruption of learning.
