Dear Parents and Carers,

We have received the following information from Parramatta City Council for your information and consideration:

Council has received reports that motorists are performing illegally movements on the roadway during the part-time turn restrictions in Hilar Avenue at Muruba Avenue and Karingal Avenue at Hilar Avenue.

It would be appreciated if you could distribute the attached information on changed traffic conditions in Hilar Avenue at Muruba Avenue and Karingal Avenue at Hilar Avenue with your school community via the school newsletter and remind the school community that motorists are required to obey the road rules at all times.

The intention of the part-time turning restrictions is to reduce conflict between traffic travelling in opposing directions during peak school pick-up times and assist traffic flow.

Council has written to The Hills Police Area Command requesting that this location be included in their patrol to deter illegal vehicle movements.
