Dear Parents and Guardians,
When we experience rainy days, we kindly remind everyone to take extra care while driving, especially around school zones and pedestrian crossings.
Please keep in mind the following safety tips:
· Drive Slowly and Cautiously: Wet roads can be slippery. Reduce your speed and increase following distance to allow for longer stopping times.
· Watch for Pedestrians: Always approach school crossings and crosswalks with caution. Be prepared to stop when children or crossing guards are present.
· Do Not Block Crossings: Please ensure you stop behind the marked lines, so pedestrians have a clear and safe path to cross. Do not drop off your children at the pedestrian crossing.
· Be Mindful of Increased Traffic: Rainy weather often leads to heavier traffic and slower commutes. Please allow for extra travel time to avoid rushing and ensure a calm, safe arrival.
· Avoid Distractions: Stay focused on the road and avoid using mobile phones or other distractions while driving.
· Use Pedestrian Crossings When Walking: If you or your child walks to school, please always use designated pedestrian crossings. They keep everyone safe and help drivers know where to expect pedestrians.
Your cooperation helps ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families. Thank you for doing your part to make our community safer—rain or shine.
