The resources can be viewed in any order and revisited as many times as you like. You might like to share a different resource with your child each week.

Resources: 

1. Browse the presentation called “An Introduction to Blacktown West” with your child so he / she can see what school is going to look like, who he / she will meet and what to expect.
2. View our information booklet to find our more about our school including bell times, uniform requirements, methods of communication and much, much more!
3. Watch the “Fun Alphabet Activity” with your child in the “Online Activities” section and download the Mummy on the Moon activity worksheet so your child can join in!
4. Watch the “Name Game Lesson” with your child in the “Online Activities” section and download the Name Game Lesson activity worksheet so your child can join in!
5. Watch the “Numeracy Lesson” with your child in the “Online Activities” section and download the Number Peg Activity worksheet so your child can join in!
6. Read “Helping Your Child Get Ready for School” which gives you lots of practical ideas that you can use during the coming weeks that will help to prepare your child for school.
7. Share the child-friendly presentation with cartoon pictures called “I am ready for school” with your child. Talk with your child about the pictures and encourage him / her to practise the skills to get ready for school.
