Joe started growing vegetables with his brother Elio in 1968 at Terry Hills and attended the markets at Haymarket, then Flemington.  In 1978 they started growing flowers such as Lisianthus, Chrysanthemum, Carnations and Roses. They formed a business, Milotic Roses, and were well renowned for growing excellent quality flowers.

Joe loved the Market and was always up for a chat.

He was diagnosed with cancer in 2019 and while in remission would still attend the market from time to time, more for the social side than anything else.

Sadly, Joe passed away on Wednesday 26th of February at the age of 76 leaving behind his beloved wife Mary, Mathew and Nuch, Danial and Eva and four grandchildren.
