SAFETY NOTICE TO ALL TENANTS

SOUTH ROAD SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS


Following the installation of safety dividing strips on South Road in February 2025, we will begin extending these safety improvements along the rest of South Road, up to First Avenue.


Improvement works on South Road have been scheduled in the following Stages:


Stage 1:

  • Fourth Avenue to Third Avenue - COMPLETED

Stage 2:

  • Installation will begin in April 2025 of safety dividing strips extending from Third Avenue to Second Avenue

Stage 3:

  • Works in May 2025 will cover the stretch from Second Avenue to First Avenue.

Continuous Safety Improvements along South Road

  • "No Pedestrians" signs have been installed along Building E on South Road to deter pedestrians from crossing South Road, except at the designated access points.

  • Wayfinding signs have been placed at the south end of Buildings A, B, and C to guide pedestrians to the buyer's walks and the central designated pedestrian access point between Building B and Building E.

  • A Safety Video has been released, featuring members of the Markets Community reminding everyone to be cautious while moving around the Markets, whether on foot or in a vehicle.

PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IS EVERYONES RESPONSIBILITY

NOTE: All unsafe work practices need to be reported to an SML Market Officer on the 24-hour SML contact number 0409 325 232 or the WHS Manager, Leighton Freney on 0417 325 171. 


Unsafe practices should be reported to an individual's employer and any relevant shareholder, occupier, or contractor/transport company.
