Update on election of new members to the Council of Market Representatives (COMR).

In March, the process to nominate new members to join the Council of Market Representatives was opened. Sydney Markets Limited would like to thank everyone who participated. Nominations for ten candidates were received as below. 

The SML Board have reviewed the nominations received in line with the new constitution stating that the COMR will comprise up to three Market Participants for each Market class—Flowers, Growers, Retail, Wholesale and Warehouse. As such, each candidate above has been successful in joining the refreshed Council and will commence as members in June 2025. 

All newly elected members have been notified of their appointment, and Sydney Markets Limited congratulates each candidate and looks forward to working with them.

To enhance representation across the Market, COMR is still seeking additional representatives from the Growers, Retail and Warehouse categories and will look to fill these vacancies in the future.
