P&C Newsletter – October 2022 

Term 4 Overview 

Welcome back to Term 4. It promises to be a fun-filled term, as we head to the end of the year. 

Just a heads-up for the following Term 4 events for the school community. Mark these dates in your calendar:

• Halloween Disco – Friday, 28 October 

• FSPS Music Recital - Monday, 14 November, showcasing our students' musical talents from junior and senior bands, strings ensemble, Kodaly classes. 

• FSPS Biennial Art Show - Thursday, 8 December, showcasing our students’ individual art and an opportunity to purchase collaborative class art pieces. 

• School Picnic at Bronte Beach – Friday, 16 December, (also last day of school)

More details for these events will be circulated closer to the date. 

Colour Fun Run 

What an amazing result for our major fundraising event! A massive "thank you" to our wonderful school community that made this such a successful event, raising $24,767.88 

If you have any cash donations, could you bring this in an envelope with the name of your child and class, to the school office asap. Cash donations will need to be validated before the prizes can be dispatched. 

If you have not ordered your prizes yet, please contact Luke Lee (0402 484 778) asap.  Ordered prizes will be available in Weeks 5 or 6. 

Photos of the event will be out shortly on the school website. 

Halloween Disco – Friday, 28 October

We have less than 3 weeks to our Halloween Disco and need parent volunteers to make this an epic fun event for the students. 

In particular, the P&C are looking for volunteers who can create a haunted house experience as well as to be volunteers on the day. Please contact Luke (0402 484 778) or Dina (0411 205 378) if you would like more information or are able to help. Without volunteers we will not be able to do everything we would like to, so please put your hand up. Kids are always proud to see their parents getting involved! 

Please let us know if you can help on the day as it will help in planning the event. We need volunteers to assist in planning the event, setting up and decorating on the day, and during the event itself to help with the activities. 

Canteen News 

Burgers are back for Term 4 replacing our winter Udon Noodle Soup dish. 

If you are able to help in the canteen, please get in touch with Nalika or the P&C. We are serving up to 80 - 90 meals on our busy days and require volunteers to help.
