Dear Parents/Carers

As a student leader fulfilling the role of School Captain, Vice Captain or Prefect, your child is invited to attend a leadership for young people workshop hosted by Mrs Pretty. This is an annual event that concentrates on training students for their role as school leaders.

The day will consist of four lessons:

LEADERSHIP: READY TO LEAD

In these lessons students delve into the wide world of leadership, define what leadership is, understand how we can harness our influence and focus on how we can all live out leadership in our home and school communities. 

TEAMWORK: STRONGER TOGETHER 

In this unit the students will learn about the key elements of working with other people and how to be a positive team member.

APPRECIATING DIVERSITY - DIFFERENCE IS STRENGTH 

In this unit the students will explore how to celebrate their own quirks and appreciate the things that make us all unique. 

SERVICE - BIGGER THAN I 

In this unit the students will learn the importance of service and how they can start to serve others in their everyday lives.

When: Wednesday 10 March 2021 

Time: 9.00am - 3.00pm

Where: At school in the Special Program Room  

Lunch: The students will walk with Mrs Pretty & Ms Lupton to a local cafe for a special complimentary lunch.  

Dress: Full school uniform including black school shoes.

What to bring: Please ensure your child packs their pencil case, recess and a drink of water.

Please submit the consent form attached by Monday 8 March.
