Dear Parents and Carers

The Premier and Minister for Education have today updated Covid safe settings in NSW schools in line with community settings.

Monday 28 February

  • Cohorting no longer required, school will finish at 3pm for Kindergarten students.
  • Masks no longer mandatory in secondary school settings
  • Assemblies and programs involving multiple year groups (such as Buddies) can commence.
  • Visitors are allowed on school sites.
  • Rapid Antigen testing moving to ‘symptomatic testing’ only. Students and staff will be receiving 8 RAT kits for the remainder of the term (20 kits for support class staff).

Monday 7 March

  • Masks no longer mandatory in primary schools, although staff and students may continue to wear them if they choose to.
  • Staff of students in support classes will need to continue wearing masks where required.
  • Natural ventilation and good hygiene practices and enhanced daily cleaning is still in place.

Please note that anyone working at a school including staff, volunteers and parents must be double vaccinated.

Kind regards
