Dear Parents/Caregivers

CAPA & Languages Faculty is excited to announce an exciting opportunity in Week 3, Term 3 for students in Year 8 and Year 10  - on Monday, August  4, 2025 (Term 3, Week 3), KHS will host a Korean Cultural Day. We will welcome ten student teachers from South Korea. This event provides students with a unique opportunity to engage with Korean culture through a series of cultural workshops.

Although this experience is offered to students in Years 8 and 10, lunch orders are open to the whole school.


Event Details
  • Date: Monday, August 4, 2025
  • Time: 11:42 AM – 1:30 PM (Period 3 and Period 4)
  • Participants: All Year 8 students (compulsory) + ten students from Year 10
  • Locations: Five cultural Workshop sessions will be offered across the school

Students will rotate between the five workshop stations in groups, accompanied by KHS teachers. Each station will be led by two student teachers from South Korea, providing authentic cultural experiences.

Participation is compulsory for all Year 8 students.

A small number of Year 10 students will also be invited to participate in the Korean Cultural Experience Day. Interested Year 10 students must submit the Microsoft Form “Korean Cultural Event - Expression of Interest” to be considered. Please note that the expression of interest to participate in the Korean Cultural Event closes on Friday, 25 July. Lunch Order Information
To celebrate this event, a Korean and Japanese lunch menu will be offered for all students and staff.

This exciting event is designed to foster intercultural understanding, teamwork, and global awareness among students. We look forward to a fun and engaging day of learning and cultural discovery.Further details, including the confirmed gathering location and student group arrangements, will be provided closer to the event.
