It has been brought to our attention that canteen lunch orders have been placed on Flexischools for upcoming open days and kids coming to school without lunch thinking they had an order that day as the canteen is open for snacks. We apologise for any confusion around canteen open days and would like to explain in more detail how it works. 

The canteen relies 100% on volunteers. This means our open days change week to week. 

The canteen has various shifts, these include all day shifts where lunches can be ordered and shorter shifts where canteen is only open during lunch break to sell snacks, drinks and frozen items. 

Each weekend a notice will come through the school app with opening days for the coming week. If the notice states the canteen is open for lunch snacks only, no lunch orders are able to be placed on Flexischools or in person as this is a short shift. If the notice states the canteen is open for lunch orders, you will be able to place a lunch order on Flexischools or in person for that day. 

It is vital that when ordering on Flexischools, the date at the top of the screen is checked to make sure you are ordering for the correct day, it will not let you order for any other day than the days we are open for lunch orders. Please see attached photo of where to locate the date.
