ATT: Southern Illawarra Music Festival (SIMF) parents

We have recently been informed of our performance date. Your child is required to attend both the full day final rehearsal AND the evening performance on Tuesday 17 October at the University of Wollongong Hall. Students will be taken to the final rehearsal from school via bus transportation at 7:30am and return by 2:30pm. The $30 SIMF fee paid in May covers this cost. You do not need to pay any additional fees. That same evening students are to participate in the festival by arriving at 6:30pm via private transportation with an ending time to be advised.

In previous notes we suggested the festival would occur on either Tuesday 10 October or Thursday 12 October. The organisers of SIMF have since pushed it back a week (as originally planned). We apologise for the inconsistency of communication, but the management of the event is not under our control. 

A separate permission note will be sent home towards the end of term 3 along with details of when and how to buy tickets to this exciting event.
