School Leaders Message

My name is Gabriel and I’m your prefect for 2024, proud to belong means to me were everyone has a say in something. Being proud to belong means feeling welcome and accepted in a community or group also having a sense of your ideas and opinions matter and you won’t be judged by them. “It takes a village to raise a child”, which means everyone needs to help each other to feel welcome, safe, valued and comfortable.

Public Education Week is a time of appreciating the work and achievements of students and public schools. The theme of this year’s Education Week is ‘Proud to Belong’ which represents having pride in being part of your school community. Being proud to belong means feeling safe, supported and accepted. This can extend to feeling proud of your school, home and your local community.

By bringing your parents and family into our school this Education Week, you will have a great opportunity to share your favourite parts about learning at UPS.
